Children in Crisis will depend upon local faith organizations to provide for the spiritual development of our children. Children in Crisis was established on the premise that the local faith community will be involved with the development and welfare of the children.
CIC will provide regular input to the local faith organizations regarding the status of The Children's Neighborhood, its accomplishments, its population and its needs. The local faith organizations will have sufficient information on which to base its specific involvement and on which its members and sub-organizations can base their involvement. CIC encourages members to become involved with the children to help provide "all things the child needs from a family".
The Children's Neighborhood will identify a director of services who will organize and guide individuals and organizations that wish to contribute time, services and products to the development and well being of the children. Opportunities for involvement with the children will be provided in accordance with the legal guidelines of The State of Florida for foster children and by procedures established by the Board of Directors of Children in Crisis, Inc.
CIC encourages the local faith organizations to prayerfully make the support and sustainment of The Children's Neighborhood an element of their annual budget. Each organization is encouraged to provide support at a level determined by the size and capabilities of the membership.
Members of the CIC Faith Community Committee are available to discuss ways that each particular faith organization can get involved. We ask that you invite us to talk with you, your congregation and committees to spread the word and encourage support for The Children's Neighborhood.
